In 2022 and 2023, The Warren Firm awarded a $2,500 scholarship to well-deserving, hardworking applicants. The scholarship was open to a graduating high school senior from Southside Virginia, from the following counties: Appomattox, Charlotte, Lunenburg, Nottoway, Amelia, Cumberland, Buckingham, and Prince Edward. The firm’s founder and lead attorney, Vaden Warren, grew up in Crewe, Virginia. While his office is in downtown Charlottesville, he actively works with clients from Southside Virginia.

This scholarship focuses on work ethic, with no regard to GPA or academic merits. The Warren Firm values hard work and we want to recognize students who understand the importance of diligence, personal responsibility, and delayed gratification. **Due to the nature of this scholarship, we encourage school guidance counselors to nominate students as well.

High school seniors graduating in the 2022-23 Class from the following high schools:

  • Amelia Academy
  • Amelia County High School
  • Appomattox County High School
  • Buckingham County High School
  • Central High School
  • Cumberland High School
  • Fuqua School in Farmville, VA
  • Kenston Forest School
  • Nottoway High School
  • Prince Edward County High School
  • Randolph-Henry High School
  • Homeschooled students are also welcome to apply

Attending a trade school, accredited community college, or undergraduate program in the United States in the upcoming 2023-24 school year

No GPA Minimum

Application

​​A complete application for this scholarship will include:

  • A Resume with current contact information OR Cover Letter OR a write-up on any special projects worked on along with information you’d like us to know about you
  • Proof of acceptance into planned school for the upcoming academic school year
  • An essay (750 word max, no minimum) describing a time when hard work paid off OR answering the question, “How has your work ethic gotten you to where you are today?” OR submit an essay you have already written for a undergraduate or trade school application

2023 Hard Work Pays Off Scholarship

Congratulations to the winner of The Warren Firm’s 2023 Hard Work Pays Off Scholarship, Darius Eubanks!

Darius is a 2022-23 graduate from Randolph-Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, Virginia, and will be attending Averett University in the Fall. He worked hard in high school to maintain his grades while running cross country and working a part-time job! He plans to pursue a degree in Sports Communication.

Reaction Statement: I was so excited to hear about winning this scholarship. It will really help me to finance my college education. My mom always told me, “When you put God first everything else will fall into place!” And it did! Thank you so much to everyone who helped me and made this possible for me! I feel so honored. 2022 Hard Work Pays Off Scholarship Winner

Congratulations to the winner of The Warren Firm’s 2022 Hard Work Pays Off Scholarship, Sean Hatcher!


Sean is a 2021-22 graduate from Randolph-Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, Virginia, and will be attending Norfolk State in the Fall. Sean worked hard in high school to maintain his grades while balancing sports and working late-night hours at a local fast food restaurant.

We commend Sean on his commitment to education and his hard work ethic! He says he is very grateful for the scholarship and that the money will help him in his continued education as he pursues a degree in Computer Science. Congratulations again, and thank you to all of our other applicants!
