Our client was struck by a car while crossing the street in a crosswalk. The signal to walk was on when a driver failed to keep a proper lookout and struck our client on the left side of her body as she was crossing, causing her to fall to the pavement. For months following the accident, she saw several doctors for tests, imaging, x-rays, therapy, and follow-up appointments for right ankle pain, left hip pain, pain throughout her back and right side of her neck, and lower abdominal pain. After filing suit, we were able to get the liability carrier to tender their policy limits and received additional funds from the underinsured carrier.
