Our client was driving in the City of Richmond, VA when he was rear-ended by someone. The other driver fled the scene of the accident and was never identified. In the collision, our client sustained a significant exacerbation of a pre-existing back and neck injury. He was treated at CJW Medical Center for two days after the accident. He was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy, prescribed pain medication, and released.
With back pain radiating into his legs, our client followed up at OrthoVirginia. After MRIs were reviewed, it was decided that a lumbar fusion surgery was necessary. The surgery was successful and our client noticed immediate improvement with his pain. After several months though, pain returned to his back and pelvis. He was given injections over a long period of time and was prescribed physical therapy. This case settled for $750,000.
